Well, sayonara, good buddy! You are OUTTA HERE! No more splinters in baby girl's feet!
Thus Project Deck Destruction began. Thanks to Joe and Scott for your fantastic destructive tendencies!

My dad and stepmom graciously agreed to spend their vacation days helping us rebuild our deck! Nick and I were super grateful for their generosity, strength, and know-how... and Shiloh was so happy to see her "Doda and Mia"!! (Actually, she has yet to decide whether she wants to call him "Doda" or "Yoda"... so stay tuned!)
Project Deck Rebuilding in action:

It was ridiculously hot and humid. This warranted a few dips in the kiddie pool.

We also took a break one day to go visit the National Corvette Museum in BG. My dad loves these cars and just recently bought this, so I wanted to take him there for Father's Day (even though he did the driving... you know what I mean!). It was a little disappointing, but they did have a few pretty cool Corvettes there. I especially like the '52 and '53 models.

(Notice above Miss Fussy Pants. No nap + 1 1/2 hr car ride + road construction + teething = cranky toddler!)
Here, Doda and Shi are lifting the frame of the Z06 'vette. Talk about super strength! (Or, it is not that heavy... you decide!)

So anyway, finished result is this:

Ta da!! Isn't she a beauty??

I love it!! We're now in the market for some patio furniture. I'm so looking forward to early mornings and evenings sipping coffee out on our new deck!
