Daddy's Big Helper

helping Daddy build her bookshelf

Shiloh is such a big helper when it comes to a lot of things... doing laundry, throwing things in the trash, closing the refrigerator, "sweeping" the floor... and now, assembling bookshelves! As Nick began putting together the bookcase we bought for her room, Shi jumped right in (literally!) with the Allen wrench and got to work!

what a PRO with the Allen wrench

Check it out! She has a pacifier in her mouth! This is probably one of the only times EVER she kept one in her mouth long enough for me to capture it in photos... probably largely due to the fact that, since 7 1/2 months, she has been talking too much to allow any kind of obstacle in her way! It seems, though, that she rather enjoyed chewing on it while she was hard at work... maybe she thought it was better etiquette than having her tongue loll out the side of her mouth :)

"...whistle while you work..." (except when you are pretending to like a binkie and you can't!)

"this screw needs to be tightened..."

Note: In the end, the bookshelf turned out perfectly fine... despite all of the "help" Nick had with this project!

She's been watching some Bob the Builder, huh? That's great. Here's hoping she will want to do those things when she is older!
