the cereal experience

we have officially introduced Shi to rice cereal!! the whole process went something like this:

... notice her intial reaction ...


... and then she got really mad, because she knew she was hungry but this wasn't the usual way to fill up her tummy!


however, more recent feedings have gone a little more smoothly -- she has even begun opening her mouth each time she sees the spoon approaching...


... and while these feedings have been just as messy, and often involve cereal on (and in) the nose...


... they generally have a much happier ending!!
