Introducing...

Stella the Snail
Stella the Snail !! After purchasing the pattern back in ... oh, February? March?? ... and the fabric and materials just a while later... I FINALLY got around to making her! Once I started, she really only took me a couple evenings of after-Shi-has-gone-to-bed time to make her.

Here are some photos from when Shiloh met Stella (sounds like a movie, doesn't it?):
Shiloh, meet Stella the Snail!
"For me, Momma?"

"I'm supposed to eat her, right?"
And then, of course, Stella goes to the place everything Shiloh can manipulate goes... her mouth!

Snail kisses !!
In the end, I think they'll grow to be good friends! Although, I really am reserving her for when Shi is a bit older for a few reasons: a) small button eyes = choking hazards! b) Stella would probably not survive more than a few days of slobbery gnawing, and c) I think she'll enjoy her a bit more when she's older. We shall see!

Now, maybe I'll get around to making Stella some friends (butterfly, turtle, and... well, the bird is actually a little creepy), since I have their patterns as well ... but don't hold your breath that this will happen anytime too soon! :)
